Healthy Origins Iron Ease featuring Ferrochel is produced using chelaton technology from Albion Laboratories, the world leader in amino acid chelate nutrition. The scientists at Albion have found a way to substantially increase the bioavailability of elemental iron by bonding it with the amino acid glycine. Amino acids are easily identified and assimilated by the body. Glycine is the ligand that supports the transport of iron into the intestinal cell, maximizing the bioavailability of the iron. Iron is an essential mineral which is a vital component of hemoglobin, a protein responsible for transporting oxygen throughout the body.
