Dee Cee's Modified Citrus Pectin is a complex polysaccharide rich in galactosyl residues, derived from citrus fruits. Ordinary pectin is not absorbed due to its long molecular chain, but Dee Cee's is manufactured by a special process that results in a shorter molecular chain that is readily absorbed. This allows the body to utilize its important polysaccharide components.
