Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) on the Label
What riboflavin is, how much a typical product provides, and why it can change the color of urine.
Riboflavin, also called vitamin B2, is a water-soluble vitamin shown on Supplement Facts panels in milligrams. The adult Daily Value reference is 1.3 mg, so single-nutrient B2 products often list amounts far above 100% DV.
Because riboflavin is water-soluble, the body excretes what it does not use. This is why high-dose B2 can give urine a bright yellow color, which is harmless.
Riboflavin is frequently included in B-complex products alongside other B vitamins. Check the panel for the amount per serving and whether it is a standalone product or part of a blend.
